As you might expect Liver and Beef top the polls as the best source of iron by British & Irish respondents in our survey of over 1,400 people. Nuts, chocolate and seeds feature strongly too with 50% of women keen to eat more iron-rich foods. However, if you are low in iron, your diet alone may not be enough to get your levels back up to where they should be. That’s not to say that following an iron rich diet isn’t a good thing as recommended by nutritionists and dieticians. It is and becomes very important for keeping your iron levels normal once you have managed to get them back on track.
